How it works

BuiltOnJev is a community product-discovery platform: submit your Jev build for free, earn upvotes, and climb the directory. Separate from all of that sits a small, clearly-labeled paid spotlight. Here are the exact rules.

Free listings & community upvotes

→Anyone can — site, GitHub repo, X post, video. Jev opens it, decides whether it belongs, and sorts it into a use case. Listings are free, forever.
→Directory ranking = upvotes, nothing else. Anyone can upvote without an account (one vote per person per product). Highest score first, ties broken by newest. Money never moves a directory rank.

Paid spotlight ranks (the one commercial surface)

→The homepage sidebar spotlight and the leaderboard are openly pay-to-rank: paste any product link on the claim form, pay, and you're on the board — the link gets listed automatically, no Jev-ness required. One-time bids in whole dollars: from $5 up to $999,999, in steps of $5. Every paid rank is labeled as such.
→Name and tagline come from your page — we read your site's title and description at payment time. Links are matched without query strings (tracking parameters are dropped). Bids on the same link add up; paying again after you update your site also refreshes its card.
→Ranking: highest total bid first. Anyone can bid on any listing — including someone else's, to boost a project they love.
→Tie-break: if two listings hold the same total, the one that reached that amount first ranks higher. To take a spot you must strictly outbid it.
→Holding a rank: you keep it until someone outbids you, then you slide down — you never fall off the board. Ranks go live the moment payment clears, no expiry. Top-up bids any time to climb back.

What can be advertised

→Any product, tool, or site you own or can represent — it does not need to be built with Jev. The spotlight is an ad surface; the free directory above is where Jev-ness is checked.
→Not allowed: adult content, scams or malware, gambling, chat/group invite links, and URL shorteners. Violating listings are taken down and refunded.

Money, honestly

→Bids are non-refundable. You are buying visibility at a moment in time, not a guarantee of traffic.
→Payments are processed by Waffo Pancake as merchant of record; taxes are handled on their side. We never see your card.
→If we refund a fraudulent or policy-violating bid (our call, rare), the amount comes off that listing's total and the board re-ranks. That's the only case money comes back.
→Paid ranks are always labeled. Clicks on every listing are tracked and shown openly, so bidders can see what a rank is worth.

Anti-spam & trust

→Submissions are reviewed by Jev: dead links, pure marketing pages, and non-Jev content get turned away. Payments are a spam filter by themselves — nobody bots $5 at a time for long.
→Same link can't be listed twice. Rank math is deterministic and runs off the same public data you see on this page.
